I’m Ax, short for Axya (pronounced Ask-si-ah), a New York-based disabled model, background actor, and disability advocate. I have cerebral palsy and have been modeling for about two years, building experience in runway, adaptive fashion, commercial and print modeling, as well as television production.

As a woman of West Indian and Jamaican heritage, representation is deeply personal to me. Growing up, I rarely saw disabled people within my culture represented living full, confident lives. My parents always taught me that having a disability didn’t mean having limitations—I may do things differently or take a little more time, but I can still accomplish what I set my mind to.

That mindset is a huge part of why modeling has become bigger than taking pictures for me. I want people to see disabled women modeling, traveling, building careers, being confident, embracing their femininity, and simply experiencing life. Through modeling, acting, content creation, and advocacy, I hope to help make authentic disability representation more visible in fashion and entertainment. I’m travel-ready and open to opportunities nationwide and internationally.
